EDUC -5373 Week 2 Blog

  Technology integration plays an essential role in enhancing the teaching and learning experiences of students as they engage with digital resources. In developing an integration plan for the school community, teachers, technology coordinators, and administrators will be the main stakeholders at the initial phase. Recently, the school district has launched a new initiative to partner with Apple Education Community to train educators to incorporate Apple devices to enhance classroom technology, curriculum, and for project-based learning. As part of the Apple Education Innovation team and one of the main contacts, I will organize professional development training sessions that will be ongoing for educators to stay updated with technology trends and tools. EDUC-5373- Week 1 Blog

  Filling in the Equity Gaps using Technology interview from the Igniting your Leadership with Technology article is the main focus area of discussion. The interview conducted was based on incorporating technology within the classroom to engage students and enhance instruction. Dr. Erin English's elevation to decision-making roles and educational technology experts was born from her initial involvement in creating a vision and plan of how her school community would utilize funding from an Apple company.  Erin's exposure to creating meaningful ways of networking and collaborating with technology, conducting educational technology professional development for educators, and working with education leaders to empower them to embody the use of technology are all part of her experience as an educator.
